In class last week we talked about Color Harmony “Chords” as they can be referred to. Traditionally good, balanced, groupings of color combinations.

I got you started on a colorful exercise using a simple object with a white background. And then we discussed the options for palette hues that might balance nicely with the blue-green and violet in the cup. Each chord gives you perhaps a different psychological interpretation as well. The research into human reaction to colors is big business: selling just the right color product to just the right target market.
