Suzy and I made it to the Bruce Museum last week.
The Sisley exhibit is worth the trip. Perhaps the Impressionist palette can be our first Color Confidence subject. I will research Sisley and others and bring color inspiration to our class. I know a lot of my students are interested in plein-air painting. Maybe in the spring we can head outdoors and paint with bold impressionist strokes of glorious color.
Scroll down to read more about the upcoming class. Color Confidence begins on March 22. The class is a go as we have students already signed up. http://wp.me/p73qFy-8O
Students, recall how we learned to balance greens with reds? Our conversation about the importance of complementary color pairings? Take a look at Sisley’s trees and how much red, orange and maroon is folded into his palette of greens. Beautiful.
