Let’s talk about Grays in this week’s demo.

Neutral hues that have been desaturated, are wonderful to play with. Learning to mix grays is a fun process. Grays, tones and neutrals are important on their own and they are very important when placed next to more pure colors. Artists can create art with a sense of harmony when balancing both neutrals and vivid hues. Each complements the other. Each makes the other shine.

The gouache workshop is in a two weeks.
Gouache Studies: Journaling is on Saturday, September 23.
An option for this workshop is to use a limited palette of grays, black and white.

If you want to “try” gouache without the expense of buying paints, I will provide black and white for the workshop. (remember to bring all other supplies necessary-including some brushes). This is a fun medium. I hope you’ll come out to play.

Enjoy this gorgeous weekend! See you soon.
